Elisabeth von Trapp to perform with Lakes Region Youth Orchestra
WHAT:
Rutland , Vt. - The Lakes Region Youth Orchestra will perform with vocalist Elisabeth von Trapp at their upcoming Spring Gala Concert. The granddaughter of Maria and Baron von Trapp of Sound of Music fame, she carries on the proud tradition of the Trapp Family Singers. This special event will feature performances by the orchestra's three senior ensembles and will culminate in Elisabeth von Trapp's appearance with the Symphony Orchestra ensemble.
The concert will also showcase Jacinda Brown as the Lakes Region Youth Orchestra Anton Family Foundation Competition winner. A current member of the orchestra, Jacinda Brown auditioned for and won the opportunity to perform a flute concerto with the Honors Strings ensemble.

The Lakes Region Youth Orchestra of Rutland and Castleton is a non-profit organization that gives late-elementary through high school student musicians the experience of performing music in a symphonic environment. Our seven different ensembles weekly rehearse nearly eighty students from throughout central Vermont and eastern New York.
