We will have auditions for next season at the Fine Arts Center at Castleton State College on Friday, May 13 at 3:30 pm. Please see our Audition Guidelines page for more info. We will also have auditions in the Fall. You are welcome to sit in on any of our rehearsals.

Spring Concert posted 03/19/11
Our Spring Concert is scheduled for Saturday, April 30 at MRUHS. Directions:
From the South - RT 7 North. Turn left at Formula Ford (before Diamond Run Mall) onto Middle Road. MRUHS is about 2.2 miles on the right.
From the North - RT 7 South. Turn right at Formula Ford (just past Diamond Run Mall) onto Middle Road. MRUHS is about 2.2 miles on the right.
Anton Solo Competition
Jenna Jordan was selected by our panel of independent judges (Bill Cridge, Diane Bargield and Jonathan Brinn) as the winner of our Anton Solo Competition. She played Fritz Kreisler's "Praeludium & Allegro" and will be featured soloist at our Spring Concert. Through the generous support of the Anton Family Foundation, Jenna will receive a $1000 grant to advance her music career. Congratulations, Jenna!

Calendar Correction posted 02/17/11
District Music Festival is March 4, not March 11 as originally listed in our calendar. We will have rehearsal on March 11, but not on March 4.
GMMD District Music Festival
District Music Festival is at Mill River Union High School on Friday, February 4. There will be a public concert at 7:00 pm that evening. Note that there is NO PARKING at MRUHS (except for valid Handicap Permit). They are providing a five minute shuttle from the Sears parking lot at Diamond Run Mall. Plan to board the shuttle between 6:00 pm and 6:30 pm.
January 28 Rehearsal
Baroque Strings and Concert Band meet at RIS on Friday, January 28 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm due to the all-day High School Honors Chorus and Band event taking place at CSC. Enter RIS up the big steps opposite Chestnut Avenue. Wind Ensemble, Honors Strings and Symphony Orchestra WILL NOT MEET because so many of our musicians are participating in the CSC program.
Note: the Honors Chorus and Band will present a concert at 8:00 pm at CSC.

Program Advertising Solicitation (posted 11/04/10)
We ask that all families help us by soliciting at least one advertiser for our concert program booklet. Additional forms are available - Side 1 and Side 2 - as pdf's or at rehearsal. Ad submission deadline is Friday, November 12th.
