Volunteer Help Needed - SOON!!!
Hi LRYOers!
We have a last-minute opportunity to raise about $1000 for LRYO scholarship funds. I have been involved with this fundraiser for several years for another program, but this year they have obtained alternate funding and no longer need the funds. Here are the details:
- Weston Holiday Bazaar held at The Weston Playhouse
- 53+ vendors
- 2 days - next Friday and Saturday, 11/23 and 11/24
- 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
We run the food concession, selling home-made corn chowder, home-made chili, hot dogs, drinks, baked goods, etc. Food prep and cooking is already arranged. What we need is help at the counter. In the past we have scheduled help in two blocks - 10:00 to 1:00 and 1:00 to 4:00. We need one or two people for each block. Parents, older students, or younger students with a parent are welcome.
If you can help for 3 hours on either day (or both) it would be wonderful! It is also a great time to get a jump on your Christmas shopping! There are a wide variety of vendors from all around Vermont.
The organizers would also love it if we were to provide some music during the Bazaar - holiday songs especially! It will be a relaxed atmosphere playing background music. No formal structure - musicians can play as much as they like.
(also, if it fits into anyone's schedule, we could use one or two helpers to rearrange some of the furniture in the Playhouse on Monday, 11/19 and/or 11/26. It will take no more than an hour or two...)
